Looks like I've been MIA since after 25th. Lol, yup. I was busy for my A's plus I didn't have the mood to play the computer. Furthermore, I always don't get the chance to use it. Lol ni la masalahnya kalau tkd laptop :P Hehe!

Anywayy, just wanna share what Dear and I did last time on last last Saturday. Guess what? We went to Pulau Ubin! Haha. That was the first time I stepped my feet on that Island. Even though I'm a Singaporean, my parents or school had never bring me there. Well, last time my school brought us to Pulau Hantu though but that place is boring )): huhu.

So, yeah we went there by riding this bum boat from Changi. Oh and one thing you guys should know is the boat will only move to Pulau Ubin if there are 12 people waiting. Or else, you are forced to wait at Changi. Can you imagine what if some people are forced to wait over and hour or more? It must be boring right? )): Alhamdulillah Dear and I did not need that long (:

The journey from Changi to Pulau Ubin is less than 20 minutes. It's quite short but I started to get dizzy when I kept on looking at the other islands and the sea. Lol, I'll surely get sea sick if the journey is a long one. So after we arrived at Pulau Ubin, our faces got this jakon looked all over. We were too excited to explore the island! I kept on telling Dear that I wanted to go to Chek Jawa. Unfortunately, we arrived at Pulau Ubin at around 4+ pm. Chek Jawa will be closed at 6 pm. Thus, we rented 2 bikes and cycled all the way to the east. Well, that is where Chek Jawa is located.

Lol, the cycling was fun but unfortunately that was the first time in a few years I rode a bike. What made it worse is the place itself. It has too tooo many slopes! There were many times where I had to get down from the bike and pushed my bike as the slopes are too high! My bike wouldn't even budge when I cycled it. So you all can imagine how my knees and thighs felt like when I got home )): I got cramps all over. Lol. So much for an adventure.

After about 10 minutes of cycling, we saw this huge lake about a few feet below the ground. Only one word could describe about the lake. It is BEAUTIFUL! I'm not kidding. It is beautiful and gave me a serene feeling despite how tired I was from cycling. Huhu. After taking a few pictures of the lake, we continued with our journey to Chek Jawa. Hmm when we were right about a few kilometres away, we were forced to leave our bikes at this information centre and walked as that place does not allow any kind of vehicles to enter. By that time, we were already tired, groggy and sweaty. But our mood lifted up when we saw a female wild boar. Haha! Well, of course we are jakon. We have never seen a real wild boar up close and personal okay. So sue us :P Hahah!

After taking a few pictures of the wild boar, we resumed our journey to Chek Jawa. When we arrived, I was happy and quite disappointed at the same time. I was happy because we had finally arrived at Chek Jawa. On the other hand, we went there during a high tide )): so we did not get to see any corals, starfish or other animals. It was quite sad cause we did not know it was high tide during that time. Besides that, the sky was suddenly full of lightning and thunder. At that point of time, I could not imagine how we were going to make it back. I was scared shitless of the lightning and thunder. There were so many what ifs on my mind but I kept it cool and somehow managed to calm myself a bit. Hehe.

On the way back, we walked by using this longg bridge which took about 10-15 minutes to get back to the information centre. You don't know how happy I felt when we could ride our bikes again cause I wanted to get back to the village asap. During that time, it was only 6+ pm but it was already dark due to the cumulonimbus clouds. Lol, see I still have not forget what Teacher Saff and Teacher As taught me xD Geography rocks. Anyway, we only managed to ride slowly as we only had little energy to cycle. Lol, while we were riding we saw a couple of vans passed by. Our faces were full of envy because the people inside the van did not need to cycle on the-too-many-slopes-till-we-could-not-take-it island. Huhu )): but there was no use moping around. We needed to get back faster or get drenched real badly. Thus, we continued cycling. However, lo and behold! Something unfortunate happened. Guess what? Dear's bike broke down. Well, the gear broke if I'm not mistaken.

I didn't have the heart to ride on the bike and let Dear pushed the bike alone. Therefore, I got down from the bike and did the same. Well, so much for wanting to get back asap. Lol, blame it on the bike for taking too many of our time. So we walked all the way and only got on our bike when we faced down slopes. Hm what made it scary by walking there is one, the island is full of trees. It is as if we were walking in a jungle and I even saw tomb stones there. Number two is because it was already dark and there were too many thunder >_<" So scary!

Finally, we arrived at the village. Lol, you don't know how I felt. I was too happy because we were surrounded with many people instead of stuck in the middle of the jungle. Lol. but my story does not stop there. Huhu. After we sent our bikes, we went to the toilet because we haven't performed our prayers yet. The toilets can be found nearby the information centre. I was glad the toilets were nearby. However, the moment I entered the toilet, I was confused why the toilet was too dark. Thus, I kept on searching for the switch but I could not find any! So I decided to ask the guard at the information centre. Well, it turns out the toilets use solar power. Go figure.

It was scary because I was the only one in the dark and creepy toilet. But I put on a brave front and kept on praying silently when I performed the ablution. I did not even dare to look in the mirror. Lol. It is scary okay! Afterwards, we prayed and went home as we could not find any malay stalls there. We were famished but there was only one malay stall that was already close. Thus, we had no choice but went home. Well, it was scary when we wanted to go home because of the bad weather. It was already dark and there were too many thunder and lightning )): it was frightening and we even had to wait for 12 people in order to get back to Changi. Once again, luck was on our side that day. We did not need to wait too long to get into the bum boat.

On our way back to Changi, we just sat there quietly as we were too tired to say anything. All in all, even though we were extremely lethargic we had so much fun! It is like an adventure for us. I want to go there again! Dear! Bring me there again okay. Oh and Sec 4 and PU2! We can also go there okay if you guys want a gathering or simply have fun. Lol, Amirah! Let's go together okay after A's! I know that you've never been there before. Don't worry, we will okay someday ((;

Here are some of the pictures that we took at Pulau Ubin. Enjoy!
